中央仏教学院通信教育部学習コース2年の
進級試験を兼ねたスクーリングに参加しました。
昨年1年生時は東京の築地別院で学習会の仲間と共に参加しましたが、
今年は仕事の日程の関係で築地は無理で、この時期の京都に参加しました。
スクーリングの朝、本山でのご晨朝参拝後、
桜がチラホラ咲き始めた西本願寺を後にしてスクーリング会場へ向かいました。
 
4月から7月まで全国で開催されるスクーリングの中で一番最初の会場が、
京都の中央仏教学院（右京区山ノ内）です。
ここは、親鸞聖人が晩年を過ごした場所で
「親鸞聖人ご往生の地」と言われている「角（すみ）の坊」の裏手にあります。
宿泊した四条大宮のホテルからは、嵐山電鉄で3つ目の場所でした。
「角の坊」に到着すると、とても大きな親鸞さんが石山の上で迎えてくれました。
私はそのやさしげな像の前に思わずたたずみました。
 
スクーリングは2日間で、仏教（歴史、教義）真宗Ⅱ、宗教、真宗Ⅰ、
おつとめ、寺と教団、講義のまとめ、仏教講演会、座談会と、
１０コマ（１０時間）のゼミがあります。
持参する教科書や辞典、聖典もあり２日間持ち歩くのは重かったです。
主に関西地方から集まった通信教育生が一緒に勉強しました。
私のクラスは男性が10人、女性が6人でした。
中央仏教学院本校でのゼミでしたので、講師の方々は一流の先生方でした。
難しい講義を分かりやすく伝えてくださる教え方に、
講師としても学ぶことが多かったです。仏教や浄土真宗に関して、
もっともっと勉強を重ねたいという気持ちにもなりました。
座談会もあり、初めて会う方々と勉強の感想や日々の学習、
悩みなども話し合う貴重な2日間でした。
スクーリング終了後は、ＧＷ明けの５教科レポート提出が待っています。
やっと取り組み始めましたが、ひとつのテーマを書くにもその前後や
全体を勉強しないと書きあげることが出来ないようになっていて・・・、
今ちょっと、焦っています。
中央仏教学院の通信教育部では昨年から勉強を始めましたが、
大学時代以来久し振りの本格的な勉強で、脳も心もとても刺激されています。
新しい何かを学ぶ楽しさに目覚めた私です。
