接客しない西松屋の人気の秘密　　（井手一男）

我が家は里親をやらせていただいているので、小さな子供がいないことが無い。
我が家の事情で決まるわけではないから、いつ、何歳の子が来るのか全くの不定期だ。
今も、3歳、7歳、10歳の子供を委託させてもらっている。
そんなわけで、我が家にとって西松屋は大変重宝している。
何せ価格が安いのだ、激安である。
我が家も、様々な年齢や男物・女物を買い揃えて待機していた時期もあったが、
西松屋のお蔭で今では完全に解放された。
それなりの企業努力をしているんだろうな、とは思っていた。

　

ある日、買い物に行ったついでに店内をよーく観察をしてみた。
よくよく見てみると、面白いことに気が付いた。
店員が少ない…これは以前から感じていたが、まあ人件費が一番高いからね…
コストダウンには仕方がないと思っていた。
安けりゃ助かる…とばかり思っていたし、店員が少ないから、
サービス業の鉄則である「接客」が出来ないのだ…と思っていたら
そうではなく、意識して「接客」をしない、ということに気が付いた。
それはそれは凄いことで
今、サービス業でフル接客していないビジネスが他にあるかな？

世間の厳しさを鑑みると、サービス業なら手取り足取り、親切に、
痒い所に手が届くフルサービスを極めよう、という方向に行く筈なのだが…
西松屋、お主も…やるのう！（古っ）

因みに、ワゴンセールは見たことが無い。
CMではBGMが掛かっているが、実際の店舗は静かだ。
結局、接客をしないということで、服をゆっくりと選ぶ楽しみがあるのも事実。
購買層にはしっかり支持されているのだ。
だから、子供服の売り上げ断トツのナンバー1。

さて、このサービス業なのにフルサービスをしないという事業形態。
葬祭業で、どう使えば良いかな？
